Black Diamond Cars provides private black car service and shuttles from Denver to Aspen — door-to-door in an AWD SUV with winter tires, Wi-Fi and refreshments. We track your flight, meet you at DIA baggage claim, and drive directly to your Aspen hotel, condo or residence. No fixed schedule, no other passengers, no stops.
It is the longest mountain transfer we run, and the most scenic. There is no short way to Aspen from Denver — Independence Pass, the direct line on a map, is closed from roughly November to May — so the reliable route runs west and then south through the Roaring Fork Valley.

For a group of four or more, the per-person cost of a private vehicle often lands close to shared pricing — with an hour and a half less travel time.
Going home, we collect you at your Aspen or Snowmass address and deliver you to DIA with margin for the canyon and I-70. Tell us the flight time and pickup address and we work backwards from there — typically leaving five hours before departure in winter. Dispatch checks conditions the evening before and moves the pickup earlier if the corridor looks slow.
On a four-hour drive the vehicle matters more than on a short hop. We run the Cadillac Escalade ESV (up to 6 passengers), the GMC Yukon XL Denali (up to 7, a favourite for families) and the Mercedes-Benz Executive Sprinter Van (7–14, and worth considering even for smaller groups purely for the room). Eagle is 70 miles and 1.5 hours from Aspen, so the drive is far shorter — but it has fewer flights and generally higher fares. Denver offers more options and better prices at the cost of a longer, scenic drive. We serve both.
Yes — book both directions together or separately. Many clients arrange the return at the same time so the pickup is already scheduled before the trip begins.

Only in summer. Highway 82 over Independence Pass closes from roughly November to May, so the winter route always runs through Glenwood Springs — which is why we quote 3.5 to 4.5 hours year-round.
