Denver to Cordillera — Private Car Service

Black Diamond Cars provides private car service from Denver Airport to Cordillera — door-to-door to your residence, to the Lodge & Spa, or to any of the golf clubhouses. About 140 miles and two and a half hours from DIA, or roughly 25 minutes from Eagle Airport.

Cordillera sits above Edwards in the Vail Valley, surrounded by the million acres of the White River National Forest. It is a gated community spread across several miles of mountainside — which makes arriving with a driver who knows the layout considerably simpler than arriving without one.

Gate access arranged in advance. Cordillera is a private gated community. We pre-authorise your arrival with the address you give us, so the vehicle passes the gatehouse and pulls up at your door rather than leaving you to sort it out with luggage in hand.

Denver Airport to Cordillera

The route runs about 140 miles west on I-70 — through the Eisenhower Tunnel, over Vail Pass, past Avon — then up to Cordillera above Edwards. Around two and a half hours when the road is clear, longer on a winter weekend.

Your chauffeur meets you inside the terminal at baggage claim, handles the luggage, skis or golf clubs, and drives straight through. No shared shuttle stops, no changing vehicles in Avon, no waiting at the gatehouse.

Eagle Airport & Private Jet Arrivals

Eagle County Regional Airport is barely twenty minutes away, which makes it the natural choice for Cordillera when the flight schedule allows. Arriving privately, we meet you on the ramp at the Vail Valley Jet Center and take luggage directly from the aircraft — about twenty-five minutes to your door.

The Cordillera Community

Cordillera is one of the finest luxury mountain communities in the country, and it is genuinely large: several distinct neighbourhoods spread along the ridge above Edwards, with the Lodge & Spa at Cordillera at its centre and four golf courses across the property.

Summit CourseJack Nicklaus design at 9,000 feet, with some of the longest views in the valley.
Valley CourseTom Fazio's course along the Eagle River, playable earlier and later in the season.
Mountain & Short CoursesThe Hale Irwin Mountain Course and the Dave Pelz Short Course complete the property.

We drive to all of it — clubhouses, the Lodge & Spa, and private residences throughout:

  • Lodge & Spa at Cordillera
  • Summit Course clubhouse
  • Valley Course clubhouse
  • Ranch at Cordillera
  • Divide & Territories
  • Private residences
  • Edwards village

Golf, Skiing & Everything Between

Cordillera works year-round, and so do we. In winter, Beaver Creek is fifteen minutes away and Vail around twenty-five — we run morning drops at the lifts and pick-ups after last chair. In summer it is golf, hiking and the trail network of the White River National Forest, plus dinner in Edwards or Vail Village. See local transportation for rides during your stay.

Cordillera to Denver Airport — Return

Departing, we collect you at your residence or the Lodge and get you to DIA with comfortable margin — usually leaving around 3.5 hours before a winter flight. Dispatch checks I-70 conditions the evening before and shifts the pickup if the corridor looks slow. To Eagle Airport, allow about an hour door to gate.

Cordillera Car Service — FAQ

How long is the drive from Denver Airport to Cordillera?

About 140 miles and two and a half hours via I-70 West, exiting near Edwards. Winter weather can add 30 to 60 minutes, which we build into the pickup timing.

Can you drive through the Cordillera gate?

Yes. We pre-authorise the arrival with the address you provide, so the vehicle passes the gatehouse and stops at your door or the Lodge entrance.

Which airport is closest to Cordillera?

Eagle County Regional Airport, roughly 20 miles and 20 to 25 minutes away. Denver has far more flights and better fares but is a 2.5 hour drive.

Do you carry golf clubs?

Yes, at no extra charge — clubs, skis and luggage all ride inside the vehicle. For a foursome with full bags we would normally suggest a Sprinter or a second SUV.

Can you take us to Vail or Beaver Creek during our stay?

Yes — Beaver Creek is about fifteen minutes from Cordillera and Vail around twenty-five. Morning drops at the lifts and evening dinner runs are both routine for us.

Are rates per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle, one way, including taxes, airport fees and fuel surcharges. A 20% gratuity is added to all fares.
