How Your DIA Transfer Works

  1. You book, we track your flight. Send us your flight number when you reserve. We watch it in real time — if you land early or late, your driver adjusts automatically. No stress, no waiting fees for normal delays.
  2. Your chauffeur meets you inside the terminal. Look for your name sign at Jeppesen Terminal, baggage claim level 5. No hunting for shuttle counters, no calling dispatch from the curb.
  3. We load everything. Skis, snowboards, oversized luggage — it all rides secured inside the vehicle, never on an open roof rack. Child seats are installed before you arrive if requested.
  4. You ride, we drive I-70. Heated AWD SUV with winter tires (November–April), Wi-Fi, bottled water and phone chargers. Your chauffeur drives this corridor daily and knows every mile of it.
  5. Door-to-door drop-off. Straight to your hotel lobby, residence or lift-side condo in Vail — not a downtown transit center. We handle resort gate access where needed.

Where We Meet You at Denver Airport

Denver International Airport (DEN) has one main building — Jeppesen Terminal — with baggage claim on level 5. After you land, take the train from your concourse to the terminal, collect your bags, and your chauffeur will be waiting right there with a name sign. For travelers with carry-on only, we can arrange a quick curbside pickup on level 5 (east or west side) — your driver texts you the exact island and vehicle description while you walk out.

Flying private? We also serve Centennial (APA) and Rocky Mountain Metropolitan (BJC) executive airports, and Vail Valley Jet Center on the mountain side.

Denver Airport to Vail — the Route

The DIA to Vail drive covers roughly 120 miles: E-470 or Peña Blvd to I-70 West, up through the foothills, through the Eisenhower–Johnson Tunnel at 11,000 ft, past Silverthorne and Copper Mountain, over Vail Pass and down into Vail Valley. In good conditions it takes 2 to 2.5 hours door-to-door.

It is a spectacular drive — and a demanding one. Steep grades, sudden weather changes and winter chain laws make I-70 a road best left to someone who drives it every day. That is exactly what our chauffeurs do.

DIA to Vail in Winter

From November through April, every vehicle in our fleet runs dedicated winter tires, and our AWD Cadillac Escalades, GMC Yukon XL Denalis and Mercedes-Benz Sprinters are built for exactly this corridor. When CDOT tightens traction laws or the tunnel slows to a crawl, your chauffeur already knows — we monitor road conditions continuously and adjust routes and timing so you still make dinner in Vail Village.

Comparing airports? Eagle County Airport (EGE) is only 35 minutes from Vail but has limited flights. DIA offers far more routes and better fares — and with a private transfer, the extra distance becomes two comfortable hours of Rocky Mountain scenery. See our Eagle Airport (EGE) car service if you’re flying into the valley directly.

Denver Airport to Aspen, Beaver Creek & Beyond

DIA to Aspen — Private Shuttle

Our Denver Airport to Aspen transfer runs about 200 miles via I-70 West and Highway 82 through the Roaring Fork Valley — 3.5 to 4.5 hours of alpine scenery, on your schedule, with no shared-van stops. Full route details and FAQ on our Denver to Aspen private shuttle page, or see Aspen–Snowmass rates.

DIA to Beaver Creek

About 2.5 hours from DIA, just past Vail via the Avon exit. We handle Beaver Creek gate pre-authorization, so your vehicle drives straight into the village to your lodge door. Details on the Beaver Creek car service page.

Summit County: Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper

Summit County resorts are the closest to Denver — under two hours each. Direct pages: Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain.

Vail to Denver Airport — Return Service

Heading home, we pick you up at your Vail or Beaver Creek address and deliver you to DIA with comfortable time for check-in. Our dispatch watches I-70 traffic and weather the night before and adjusts your pickup time if the mountain corridor slows down — you will not miss a flight because of tunnel traffic. Same service from Aspen: our Aspen to Denver Airport car runs daily in season.

Denver Airport Car Service — FAQ

How long is the drive from Denver Airport to Vail?

About 120 miles via I-70 West — 2 to 2.5 hours in normal conditions. During winter storms or peak weekend traffic, allow an extra 30–60 minutes. Your chauffeur tracks conditions and plans pickup timing so you are never rushed.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Nothing you need to worry about. We track your flight number in real time, and your driver adjusts to your actual arrival — early or late. Standard wait time after landing is complimentary. If a flight is cancelled, call (970) 261-6509 and we will reschedule.

Where exactly does my driver meet me at DIA?

Inside Jeppesen Terminal at baggage claim, level 5, holding a sign with your name. With carry-on only, we can switch to a curbside pickup on level 5 — your driver texts the exact door and vehicle description as you walk out.

Can we stop along the way — for groceries, gear or coffee?

Yes. A quick stop in Silverthorne or Frisco for groceries, ski rentals or coffee is easy to add — just mention it when booking so we plan the timing. It is your private car, on your schedule.

How much luggage and ski gear fits?

An Escalade or Yukon XL comfortably carries up to 6 passengers with full luggage and several ski or board bags — all inside the vehicle, never on a roof rack. Groups of 7–14 ride in our Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a full rear cargo area. Tell us your bag count and we will match the right vehicle.

Is a private car really better than a shared shuttle from DIA?

A shared van waits to fill up, then stops at hotel after hotel — the trip often stretches past 3.5 hours. Your private transfer leaves when you land and drives straight to your door in 2 to 2.5 hours, with your own space, your own schedule and a flat quoted rate.
