The drive from DIA to Avon covers about 125 miles on I-70 West and takes roughly two hours in normal conditions — past Vail, off at Exit 167, and straight to your address. Your chauffeur meets you inside the terminal at baggage claim, handles luggage and ski bags, and drives through without stops.
Avon works well as a base precisely because of where it sits: Beaver Creek is ten minutes up the hill, Vail fifteen minutes east, and the town itself has restaurants, groceries and the Riverfront gondola.
