Black Diamond Cars is a private car service based in Vail Valley, Colorado — driving travelers between Denver International Airport, Eagle County Airport and the mountain resorts since 2009.
We are not a national app or a call center in another state. We are a local team that lives where you're headed: our chauffeurs drive I-70, Vail Pass and Highway 82 every day, in every season, in vehicles built for exactly these roads. That is the whole idea behind the company — mountain transportation done by mountain people.
From a family landing at DIA with ski bags, to a wedding party moving between Beaver Creek venues, to an executive stepping off a jet at Vail Valley Jet Center — we handle the drive, so the mountains stay the easy part of the trip.
Black Diamond Cars started in 2009 with a simple observation: getting to Colorado's best skiing was the worst part of the trip. Shared vans that stopped at every hotel, rental cars sliding on Vail Pass, rideshares that never showed up in a snowstorm. Travelers spending thousands on a mountain vacation deserved a better first and last hour.
So we built the service we would want ourselves: a professional chauffeur who tracks your flight, meets you at baggage claim, loads your skis inside a heated AWD SUV, and drives you straight to your door — whether that door is a hotel in Vail Village, a residence behind the gates of Bachelor Gulch, or a lodge in Aspen. Seventeen ski seasons later, that is still exactly what we do.
Every vehicle we run is all-wheel drive and fitted with dedicated winter tires from November through April: the Cadillac Escalade ESV and 2023 GMC Yukon XL Denali for up to six passengers, and the Mercedes-Benz Executive Sprinter for groups of 7–14.
