Vail ↔ Beaver Creek: move between resorts the easy way Who this page is for

Who this page is for

Guests staying in Vail, Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, or Arrowhead who want quick, reliable, private rides between the resorts for skiing, dinners, spa, or events—without parking hunts, shuttle loops, or standing in the cold waiting for the next bus.

If you’d like a non-stop, door-to-door ride with an AWD vehicle and a driver who handles skis, bags, and timing, this page explains how to move between Vail and Beaver Creek the easy way using private Vail ↔ Beaver Creek transfers.

The problem between two mountains

Peak skier waves create pinch points on both sides: morning drop-offs and afternoon returns. Winter adds snowpack, ice, and limited curb space at hotel valets and lift portals. Self-parking can easily turn into a 10–15 minute walk in ski boots; shared shuttles add intermediate stops, changing timetables, and unpredictable crowding.

For families with kids, older guests, or anyone in formal wear heading to dinner, those extra loops matter. Instead of a simple “hotel → lifts → dinner → hotel” plan, the day gets filled with shuttle waits, parking puzzles, and text threads about who is on which bus.

The solution: private AWD, door-to-door

Your chauffeur stages at your lobby, condo entrance, or private residence and drives non-stop to the exact drop point at the other resort—no shared pickups, no loops. Our AWD SUVs (Cadillac Escalade ESV, 2023 GMC Yukon XL Denali) and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans (two configurations) are equipped with winter tires and are part of the Fleet Black Diamonds.

Onboard, you’ll find Wi-Fi and bottled water as standard. Child seats are available on request, and skis/boards ride inside the vehicle, secured and dry. Your driver handles loading and unloading so you can step out ready to ski, dine, or head to the spa.

Route & typical timing

  • Vail → Beaver Creek:
Village roads → I-70 West → Exit 167 (Avon/Beaver Creek) → resort gate and village roads into Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, or Arrowhead.
  • Beaver Creek → Vail:
Resort roads → Exit 167 → I-70 East → Exit 176 into Vail (Vail Village or Lionshead).

In normal winter conditions, plan roughly 20–30 minutes door-to-door. During active snowfall or holiday peaks, add a buffer; we’ll recommend a realistic window based on live conditions for your Vail ↔ Beaver Creek private transfer.

Optimal windows (save time with smart departures)

  • Morning ski:
Depart before 8:00 or after 10:00 to avoid the first-chair surge and curb congestion at main lift portals.
  • Midday moves:
11:30–14:00 is usually calmest for cross-resort lunches, spa appointments, or mid-day kid swaps between mountains.
  • Afternoon return:
When possible, avoid 15:30–17:30. Shifting earlier or later usually means smoother curb access and a faster load at both ends.

These are guidance windows, not strict rules. On your travel day, we’ll advise on actual conditions—traffic, weather, and village events—when we confirm your pickup time.

Where we stage and drop (hotels & lifts)

  • Vail side:
Nearest legal guest curb or hotel valet lane in Vail Village or Lionshead, with a short walk into pedestrian-only areas. For many guests, this is their hotel valet, condo entrance, or a village drop zone near the lifts.
  • Beaver Creek side:
Village drop zones and hotel valets in Beaver Creek Village, Bachelor Gulch, and Arrowhead—as close to lift portals as resort rules allow.

Your driver coordinates with valets and security so loading/unloading is fast and dry. In pedestrian-only segments, we help carry skis and winter bags for the final steps to the lobby, bell stand, or host stand.

What to expect step-by-step

  1. Book your pickup window.
Share your plan—ski, spa, dinner, or all three—and we’ll help pick a low-traffic slot for your Vail ↔ Beaver Creek ride or local transportation loop.
  2. Receive vehicle & driver details.
On the day, you’ll receive a text with vehicle description, license plate, and driver contact so you know exactly who is arriving and when.
  3. Staging at your entrance.
We stage at your lobby, condo entrance, or driveway. Skis/boards and winter bags are loaded for you; child seats are ready if requested.
  4. Non-stop transfer.
You ride directly from Vail to Beaver Creek (or back) without intermediate stops or shuttle loops. Wi-Fi, water, and a warm cabin make the short drive comfortable, even on stormy days.
  5. Drop at the door.
We drop at the designated guest curb, valet lane, or village access point and assist with gear to the start of the pedestrian area or lobby.
  6. Wait & return (optional).
On hourly / as-directed service, your driver stays nearby and returns at your chosen time—for example, after dinner, après, or spa—so your evening ends as smoothly as it started.
